At Brueckner Spitler Shelts, Joshua is a dedicated associate specializing in civil and commercial litigation. He is known for his innovative thinking and creative problem-solving approach, always striving to meet the unique needs of his clients.

Josh understands the significance of the trust clients place in their legal representation and considers it a privilege to offer his services. He places a premium on communication throughout every stage of the legal process. His primary objective in any case is to collaborate with the client to establish realistic and attainable goals that pave the way for exceptional resolutions. Once these objectives are defined, Josh provides comprehensive analysis and results-oriented strategies to ensure the best possible outcomes. Furthermore, he acknowledges the dynamic nature of client goals during litigation and is adept at swiftly adapting to changing situations as they arise.

Experience

Before joining Brueckner Spitler Shelts, Josh served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Consumer Protection and Advocacy Section of the Arizona Attorney General’s Office. In this role, he was dedicated to enforcing all civil remedies available under the Arizona Consumer Fraud Act, which targets unfair business practices within the state. His tenure allowed him to proudly serve the people of his home state.

Josh also benefited greatly from his experience as a clerk for the Honorable Judge Philip G. Espinosa of the Arizona Court of Appeals. During his time there, he contributed to the drafting of numerous judicial opinions and memorandum decisions spanning a wide array of cases, from criminal appeals to intricate civil matters involving Mexican corporate law. It was in this capacity that Josh gained invaluable firsthand insights into the nuances of Arizona law and the profound impact of strong legal writing on the success of an advocate in representing their clients.

During his time in law school, Josh was an active member of the Arizona Law Review, where he served as an Articles Editor. He represented the College of Law as part of the team that participated in the ABA National Appellate Advocacy Competition in Chicago. His early legal experience was enhanced through participation in the Civil Rights Restoration Clinic, affording him the opportunity to represent pro bono clients in numerous hearings before Superior Court judges.

About Joshua

Although Joshua is an Arizona native, he was raised by two proud New Yorkers who instilled in him a deep-rooted love for the New York Yankees. Outside of his legal pursuits, he enjoys exploring the culinary world by cooking new and delightful recipes. Additionally, he spends quality time with his loyal canine companion, Pinny (a clever nod to the Yankees’ pinstripe uniforms), and indulges in documentary viewing with his wife, Julie.
